Emily Boyd
Grammar School Director & Kindergarten Teacher
Emily Boyd is a Ruston native. She has an M.A. in Education from Louisiana Tech University and 25 years of experience in the field of education. Early in her career she developed a passion for classical Christian education and the philosophy of Charlotte Mason. At The Covenant School in Dallas, Texas, she served in various roles including Grammar School Director and Grammar School Director of Curriculum and Instruction. Before moving home to Ruston, Emily spent three years working as a classroom teacher at Ambleside of the Willamette Valley in Oregon, fulfilling a dream to work at a Charlotte Mason school. Emily has a deep appreciation for Christian education and is excited to use her experience to offer a new educational opportunity to the children and families of Ruston.
Jessica Granger
Grammar School Music Teacher
Jessica holds a degree in Vocal Music Education from Louisiana Tech University. She taught music at South Highlands Elementary Magnet in Shreveport before moving to Ruston with her husband, Ethan. She enjoys singing and traveling with the band Firm Foundation, getting coffee with friends, and spending time with family. Jessica was drawn to Heritage because the school's core values are centered on Christ. She is excited to share her love of music and worship with the students at Heritage Classical Academy.
